Cranberrybush performs best in full sun to partial sun and well-drained soil. It has medium water needs and benefits from consistent moisture during establishment. Once established, it tolerates moderate drought but performs best with periodic deep watering. Pruning can be done after flowering or in late winter to remove older stems and maintain size. Winter protection is generally not necessary in Rocky Mountain climates.
