To determine the wind direction while spraying, look for visual cues around you.
A North West Wind will be coming from the western tip of the Grand Mesa or some may consider Grand Junction to be North West. In this case, the wind is blowing from the North West, carrying your spray toward the South East or towards the Black Canyon and San Juan's.
When spraying during a light breeze, position yourself upwind of the target area, so the wind carries the spray in the intended direction and minimizes drift.
